War Bonnet |

|
Existence is not something given – it must be taken. It must be seized, and if in a moment one fails to regain existence, it will be lost. Before a trail of tears were cried in the loss of a culture, that way of life was earned in battle. Each warrior burdened himself with the salvation of his people, and took up weapons to protect it. In times of success, he was rewarded. Literally given a feather for his cap, the proud warrior would display for all to see the many times he played savior. The headdress symbolizes so much more than militaristic prowess, the war bonnet serves as the narrative of existence.
